Soft­ware Developer

The sones devel­op­ment team is a young and dynamic team that has grown tremen­dously since it started a year ago. We are fac­ing excit­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties to pro­vide grow­ing busi­ness value with the best tech­nol­ogy solu­tions. We are look­ing for an enthu­si­as­tic soft­ware devel­oper to join our team in Erfurt, Germany. 

Respon­si­bil­i­ties

  • Design and imple­ment core-components of our DBMS.
  • Develop func­tional and tech­nol­ogy pro­to­types to prove out con­cepts and demon­strate to busi­ness partners.
  • Con­tribute to the tech­nol­ogy and process stan­dards of the team, and drive com­pli­ance through design/code reviews and unit tests.

Require­ments and skills

  • B.S. / M.S. in infor­ma­tion sys­tems, soft­ware engi­neer­ing, com­puter sci­ence or related fields…
  • …or demon­strated hands-on expe­ri­ence in soft­ware devel­op­ment and testing.
  • Expe­ri­ence in .NET, C#, Java, C++, or equiv­a­lent technologies.
  • Demon­strated exper­tise in soft­ware archi­tec­ture, object ori­ented design, design pat­terns, and data structures.
  • Abil­ity to work effec­tively with related teams, includ­ing Project Man­age­ment, Test and Oper­a­tions team.
  • Excel­lent writ­ten and ver­bal com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills, with out­stand­ing flu­ency in the Ger­man and Eng­lish languages.

Desir­able, but not manda­tory, areas of tech­ni­cal exper­tise include: con­cur­rency and par­al­lelism; dis­trib­uted pro­gram­ming; type– and memory-safe run­times; man­aged code (e.g. C#); func­tional pro­gram­ming (e.g. ML, F#); Rela­tional DBMS; “NOtonlySQL” data­bases and FPGA pro­gram­ming. The desire to per­form some tech­ni­cal man­age­ment is also a plus.
